Ukraine determines the configuration of Europe for the next 50-100 years - Podolyak

Mykhaylo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, believes that European countries must help Ukraine win the war with Russia, because the configuration of the European community in the next century depends on it. This was stated by Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with "Le Figaro," reports the Office of the President.

Counselor Andriy Yermak told the French newspaper that Russian President Vladimir Putin seeks to completely take over Ukraine and destroy its statehood, but will not stop there.

In his opinion, world leaders must understand that this war is a war of democracy against authoritarianism. And if Russia wins, it will dominate Europe and also try to encroach on other countries, such as Poland, the Baltic states, and Moldova.

"I also say to our partners: if Russia wins, it will remain unpunished for its terrible war crimes, which the whole world has now seen," the head of the Ukrainian presidential office added.

Podolyak is convinced that defeating Russia will ensure a peaceful future for Europe and countries in other parts of the world without energy, migration or food blackmail and without the threat of a new armed conflict.

"Ukrainians are ready to die for freedom, and they are dying for it. Europe's task is simply to support us. Give us weapons, give us financial aid, give us the opportunity to win this war! We are ready to give our blood so that people will remain free, so that the European Union will remain free. Today determines the historical configuration of the European community for the next fifty or hundred years.
