Ukraine is ready to talk about neutral status - Office of the President

The deputy head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva did not rule out a discussion of Ukraine's possible neutrality in the peace talks with Russia. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing an interview of the official with ARD.

Zhovkva spoke in favor of a meeting at the level of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia. Serious negotiations, in his opinion, are possible only under the condition of such a meeting.

"Negotiations and a potential agreement are possible only after the cessation of hostilities and a cease-fire. Then it would be possible to discuss what Ukraine's possible neutrality could look like," the official said.

According to him, Ukraine needs tough guarantees so that the current situation will never happen again.
