The economy is ready for the challenges - a briefing by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President

A briefing was held by Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the President's Office.

 

The main topic was economic issues.  

 

According to Mikhail Podolyak, all enterprises work in the normal mode, except for those attacked by the Russian Federation.

 

The banking system is operating normally and the withdrawal limits up to 100 thousand are introduced. There were interruptions with payment cards for goods and services, but these are local cyber attacks.

 

In the energy sector - nuclear power plants, hydroelectric power plants, they work, the security there was reinforced a few weeks ago, today the security is reinforced as well.

 

Infrastructure: Major highways are operating normally, there is some congestion in the western direction. There are trains to the west and center, there are evacuation trains from Luhansk and Donetsk regions. In general, UZ operates in emergency mode. Some trains to the east have been cancelled

 

Gas stations are facing speculative demand, so there is a shortage of fuel

 

As for the products - in large supermarket chains we have 15 days stocking. The situation may change due to speculative demand, but measures will be taken in the near future.
