Ukrenergo is forced to introduce emergency power outages in seven regions of Ukraine, except for Kyiv. These measures became necessary in Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv and Khmelnytskyi regions due to the excess of consumption limits.
According to the company, excess consumption caused the introduction of emergency shutdowns starting from 14:25, and from 14:50, special schedules of emergency shutdowns for households and industrial consumers in these regions came into effect. This may lead to temporary interruptions in power supply to critical infrastructure facilities.
The restrictions will be in place until the level of consumption returns to acceptable limits. After that, Ukrenergo will return to the usual planned schedules of restrictions.
Earlier we reported that emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv on June 4, as the planned outage schedules are temporarily not in effect.
