Today, on May 31, the United States sent a signal to Ukraine to allow it to use American weapons to strike Russian territory. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made the announcement during a press conference at the third Ukraine-Northern Europe Summit.
He noted that he received this message from the military early in the morning, but refrained from providing details.
Zelensky emphasized that this decision by the United States is a step forward for the protection of Ukraine's border areas.
He expressed hope that this possibility of protection would move from the level of words to practical implementation, which would contribute to the safety of border residents.
