US President Joe Biden has secretly allowed Ukraine to use American weapons against Russia, but only near the border. This is reported by Politico.
“The president recently ordered his team to ensure that Ukraine can use American weapons for targets in the Kharkiv area so that Ukraine can respond to Russian forces striking or preparing to strike,” an unnamed US official told Politico.
At the same time, he added that the White House's policy on long-range strikes inside Russia “has not changed.”
Later, the State Department told RIA Novosti that “Biden has authorized Ukraine to conduct counter-battery fight against targets in Russia that pose a threat to the Kharkiv area.”
However, “Ukraine's ban on the use of ATACMS missiles and other means of long-range fire damage against targets in Russia remains in effect.”
