The European Union has made a decision on the frozen Russian assets: how it will affect Ukraine

The EU Council has adopted a number of legislative acts to ensure that the proceeds from frozen Russian assets will be used to support Ukraine. This was stated by the press service of the EU Council.

It is noted that the central depositories holding Russian assets will contribute their net profits to help Ukraine and support its defense potential.

These funds will be used through the European Peace Facility and EU programs to reconstruct and support Ukraine's defense industry.

It is planned that 90% of the funding will go to the European Peace Facility, and the remaining 10% to EU programs.
