Cancellation of reservations: The Ministry of Economy changes policy regarding technology companies

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has stopped the practice of booking for certain technology companies, such as Glovo, Favbet, and Visa. This information was announced by the Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko in her Facebook post.

She noted that as a result of public outrage, the reservation order was canceled. Svyridenko also promised to consider each case individually. This step inspired the acceleration of work on updating the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No. 76 to take into account the needs of modern business.

The minister explained the reservation process, saying that companies wishing to be reserved applied to the Ministry of Digital Transformation. After that, they were checked for criteria such as the absence of unified social tax debts and the level of wages.

The lists of candidates were then sent to the Military General Staff for verification, and after that, the final processing and decision on the reservation of employees took place.

Earlier, we reported that the Ministry of Economy had reserved Glovo, bookmaker-related companies, advertising agencies and firms with US owners from mobilization.
