The situation in Kharkiv region is generally under control. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky following a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff that he held in Kharkiv.
“I heard a detailed report from the Chief Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commanders of the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops Yuriy Sodol and Kharkiv Joint Forces Operation Mykhailo Drapaty. The operational situation, tasks and needs of each involved brigade, each unit, in particular, in the Kharkiv region, in the areas of Vovchansk and Liptsi,” the Head of State said.
He added that during the meeting, the prospects of the combat situation, threats from Russia in the coming days and weeks, and Ukrainian capabilities to counter Russian offensive plans were analyzed in detail.
“The direction remains extremely difficult - we are strengthening our units,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
Zelensky said that the head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov and the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleh Ivashchenko reported on the intentions of the Russians, and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Malyuk reported on counter-sabotage measures.
“A plan of further actions has been determined - both for the regional authorities of Kharkiv region and for all structures responsible for security in the region,” he said.
The Head of State also listened to reports of regional authorities from other border and frontline regions.
