Zaluzhnyi is officially appointed ambassador to Britain: Zelensky signs decree

Ex-chief of the AFU Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has been officially appointed as Ukraine's ambassador to Britain. The relevant decree was signed today by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Earlier today, Zelensky officially dismissed him from military service.

“To dismiss General Zaluzhnyi Valeriy Fedorovych from military service in retirement for health reasons with the right to wear military uniforms,” the document says.


As a reminder, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi was appointed to the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 27, 2021, and resigned on February 8, 2024.
