Access to consular services for Ukrainian men of military age abroad has been suspended. This was reported by the spokesperson for Internal Affairs, Migration and Internal Security Anitta Hipper, who said that the European Commission had taken this information into account. "We take note of this announcement. I have no specific comments when it comes to the Temporary Protection Directive. We do not distinguish between gender and conscription status. That's all I have to say for my part," Hipper replied to a question from Radio Liberty.

The European Commission refrained from commenting on the support of this decision by the Ukrainian authorities and the possibility of deporting Ukrainian men with expired documents, saying that it is not its place to decide on measures in the context of the conflict.
