President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia is preparing to mobilize an additional 300,000 troops for June 1. Zelensky said this at a press conference with the President of Finland in Kyiv, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"I can say that on June 1, Russia is ready to mobilize 300,000 additional troops," Zelensky said.
Also, answering journalists' questions about how many recruits will be mobilized into the Ukrainian army this year, the head of state noted that "we do not need half a million."
"I cannot say about the specific number of people who will be mobilized... We do not need half a million," Zelensky said.
