Massive attack on Ukraine: 151 air targets attacked the country

This night, Russia launched more than 150 drones and missiles of various types at Ukraine. Air defense forces shot down 55 Shaheds and 37 missiles. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.


In total, the Russians used:

  • 63 Shaheds (launch area of Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russia);
  • 12 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (Belgorod region, Crimea);
  • 40 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles (from 13 Tu-95MS strategic bombers - the Caspian Sea);
  • 5 X-22 cruise missiles (from five Tu-22M3 bombers - Rostov region);
  • 7 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (from 10 MiG-31Ks - Tambov region);
  • 2 X-59 guided missiles (from 2 Su-30 (Su-34) - Zaporizhzhia region);
  • 22 S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles (Belgorod and Kursk regions).


Ukraine's Air Defense Forces destroyed 92 air targets, including 55 drones, 35 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles, and two X-59 guided missiles.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that over 60 Shaheds and about 90 missiles of various types attacked Ukraine overnight. He also published a video of the liquidation of the consequences of the attack on one of the energy facilities.


In addition, he called on the West to provide Ukraine with more Patriot air defense systems to protect Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.


"Patriot systems should protect Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, we need air defense to protect people, infrastructure, houses and dams. Our partners know exactly what is needed. They can definitely support us. We need these solutions," Zelensky wrote.
