Portugal has allocated 100 million euros for the Czech Republic's initiative to supply ammunition to Ukraine from non-EU countries. This was reported by Reuters.


The Portuguese Ministry of Defense said that the initiative is aimed at the rapid delivery of the largest possible number of ammunition of various calibers, including 155 millimeters.


"The use of this ammunition on the battlefield has reached an extremely high level, making it vital and urgent for Ukraine to receive additional ammunition to respond to Russia's ongoing and more intense attacks," the ministry said in a statement.
