Russian troops attacked Sumy region with cluster bombs for the first time. The invaders mined two villages in Shostka district from the air. This was reported by the head of the Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh during a telethon.

According to him, the situation is escalating, in particular, since January 1, the number of strikes on some means of destruction, such as kamikaze drones and attack drones, has significantly increased.

"We are particularly concerned about the increased use of tactical aircraft against guided aerial bombs. By the way, yesterday, for the first time, cluster bombs were used on the territory of Sumy region," the head of the RMA noted.

According to Artyukh, the occupants mined two settlements in Shostka district - Stara Huta and Marchykhina Buda - from the air.

"Today the security forces are working on demining," he stated.
