TCC representative: Mobilization is the main way to equip the army, recruitment is the prerogative of peacetime

Mobilization will be the main way to equip the army, recruitment will not solve the problem. This was stated by Roman Istomin, a representative of the Poltava TCC, in an interview with Telegraf.

He noted that recruitment is the process of selecting candidates for military service under a contract. It is conducted among citizens with a high level of motivation who "clearly know what they want."

A representative of the TCC pointed out that most often people who want to become professional military personnel sign a contract. At the same time, he emphasized that this method of manning the army is the prerogative of peacetime.

According to Istomin, in wartime, the army cannot cover its needs only through recruits. He noted that contract service has an age limit of 18 to 45 years, while citizens aged 27 to 60 are subject to mobilization.

"There is no skepticism, only the realities of today," said Istomin about recruitment.

As the representative of the TCC noted, today recruits and mobilized people serve together. According to him, there is no difference in terms of requirements for them from the commander.
