Congressional leaders have reached an agreement on bills that will avoid a shutdown

The leaders of the US Congress reached an agreement on several bills as part of the budget resolution, which will allow to move the terms of the partial shutdown of several ministries. This was reported by Politico.

According to Politico, influential members of Congress have reached a temporary agreement to fund the Food and Drug Administration and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

According to the agreement, the shutdown of the Pentagon and other important departments has been postponed until March 22. The Senate and the House of Representatives must pass temporary resolutions within two days, otherwise a partial government shutdown may occur on March 2.

It should be noted that a partial shutdown of the federal government in the United States occurs when Congress fails to approve and the President fails to sign funding for their activities.
