Farmers on the border with Poland hamper truck traffic from Ukraine

Polish farmers continue the blockade of the Ukrainian border. They hardly let trucks going from Ukraine to Poland through. Andriy Demchenko, spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said this during a telethon.

"The situation remains unchanged. Polish farmers continue to block six checkpoints, making it difficult for trucks to move in both directions," he said.

As of this morning, the queue at all six crossing points is about 2,200 trucks, the most traffic jams are in the direction of Krakowiec, Rava-Ruska and Yagodyn.

The spokesperson also noted critically low border crossing rates at Shehyni and Yagodyn checkpoints, where only one truck per hour is actually allowed to cross.

In addition, trucks heading from Ukraine to Poland are practically not allowed to cross at all, which has led to zero border crossings in recent days at some checkpoints.
