General Carsten Breuer, the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, has promised Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi short-term support for Ukraine in the amount of more than 100 million euros. This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, the press service of the German Ministry of Defense reports.
According to him, the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, Carsten Breuer, personally met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during his visit to Ukraine last week.
Pistorius emphasized that the connection between Breuer and Syrskyi is very important, emphasizing the close cooperation between Germany and Ukraine.
"In general, we are very close to what is happening in Ukraine and what Ukraine needs," he said.
According to Pistorius, the list of assistance provided includes:
- Ambush-protected mine-resistant vehicles (MRVs);
- Bombs for arming small drones;
- 77 MULTI 1A1 trucks;
- Medical equipment;
- Spare parts for various weapons systems.
This step confirms Germany's commitment to support Ukraine in the face of the worsening geopolitical situation in the region.
