On Monday, February 12, Polish farmers additionally blocked three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine: "Zosin-Ustyluh, Dolgobychiv-Uhryniv and Medyka-Shehyni. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service.
Taking into account the previously blocked Dorohusk-Yagodyn and Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoints, the protest of Polish farmers has already covered five checkpoints.
The blockade of the checkpoints does not mean a complete blockage of traffic - cars and buses are allowed to cross the border.
Only trucks have difficulty crossing the border. Before the blockade, 1200-1400 trucks a day could pass through Yagodyn in both directions, but on Saturday there were only 160 of them. In Rava-Ruska, the blockade has reduced the throughput by three times.
According to the State Border Guard Service, the protesters near Zosin intend to let three trucks through per hour, two trucks near Dolgobychiv, and one truck near Medyka.
As we reported earlier, the Poles are blocking two checkpoints on the border with Ukraine, which is why more than a thousand trucks are waiting in lines.
