Nestor Shufrych, a member of the Platform for Life and Peace group, suspected of high treason, has been served with a new suspicion of financing the Russian Guard. This was stated by the State Bureau of Investigation.

According to the investigation, the suspect set up a scheme to finance Russian occupation groups in the temporarily annexed Crimea. The notice of suspicion to the MP from the banned political party PFLP was signed by Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.
According to the investigation, the suspect acquired ownership of a house and a land plot in Semeiz, Crimea, in 2013 through a company and proxies. It is an unfinished health center with a total area of more than 4,500 square meters located by the sea.
The land plot of more than 1.5 hectares is part of a recreational area and borders Medvedchuk's dacha. The property was purchased from companies whose beneficial owner was Medvedchuk's wife Oksana Marchenko, the SBU said.
After the occupation of the peninsula by the Russian military, the MP ensured the registration of this real estate under the laws of the Russian Federation. In 2016, he entered into a security contract with the Russian Guard, organizing the transfer of funds for the protection of property worth more than 648.7 thousand Russian rubles to the Russian Guard, the PGO said.
