The Ombudsman first criticized the draft law on mobilization, and then called for voting for it

After a meeting with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on February 6, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets called on MPs to adopt draft law on mobilization No. 10449 in the first reading.

"Tonight, I had an urgent meeting with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, where we discussed the draft law on mobilization, which is important for Ukraine. As a result of the meeting, I came to the conclusion that this draft law should be adopted by the Parliament in the first reading. I am addressing MPs with this request," the Ombudsman wrote on Telegram.

It is worth noting that four hours before this statement, the Ombudsman wrote that the government's draft law No. 10449 on mobilization rules has a number of norms that do not comply with the Constitution. In particular, he spoke about the electronic cabinet of a conscript.

Dmytro Lubinets also noted that "the comments from the Ombudsman's Office can be resolved before the second reading."

"Once again, I note the quick positive response from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine," he said.
