President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada to extend mobilization and martial law for 90 days until May 14, 2024. The corresponding draft laws No. 10456 and No. 10457 have been registered on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.
The martial law and mobilization are set to expire in Ukraine on February 14.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine have been extended several times. This will be the tenth parliamentary vote since the beginning of the great war. According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the bills will be adopted this week.
It is worth noting that Zelensky's 5-year constitutional term expires in May.
