Zelensky spoke out against forced street mobilization

President Volodymyr Zelensky has called the TCC's forceful methods during mobilization unacceptable. He said this in an interview with the German TV channel ARD.

The Ukrainian leader answered a question from a German journalist about the fact that military commissariats in Ukraine catch people on the streets by force and how this restriction of freedom is combined with the protection of Ukraine's freedom.

"It is wrong when representatives of military commissariats walked the streets looking for guys who did not come to military commissariats. But here I would like us to be fair and honest with you as well. There are cases like this - yes, there are. Is it right - absolutely not," Zelensky said.

The Head of State added that he had asked the military and MPs in the new draft law on mobilization in Ukraine to make it so that "there is no chance to walk the streets."

"Today, there are opportunities to use the digital format. That is, we live in a time of digitalization, and we are a very digitalized country. We established this process during the Covid and during the war. There is no question of solving this issue in a modern way," the president added.
