The Armed Forces of Ukraine reacted to Iran's plans to supply Russia with new weapons: it may become a challenge for Ukraine

The new weapons that Russia will receive could be a challenge for Ukraine. But so far there is no information about Iran's transfer of new drones and missiles to the Russian army. This was stated by Yuriy Ihnat, a spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during a telethon.

"We need to see how effective they will be, how much they can potentially transfer. I want to emphasize that the Air Force has no information to deny or confirm about Iranian missiles," he said.

The speaker added that nothing unexpected is happening for Ukraine, as the transfer of Iranian missiles to Russia was discussed a year ago. But Ihnat emphasized that the enemy's new weapons could pose new threats.

"The new weapons supplied, of course, pose new threats and challenges. Ballistic missiles can only be shot down by special means, such as Patriot. Therefore, the supply of ballistic missiles will be a challenge for us. We must count on the support of our partners," the speaker added.

Ihnat believes that the Russians will continue to rely on Shahed-136s, which are still being used to attack Ukraine, as it is unclear what the rate of production of new drones might be.
