President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This is reported in Zelensky's post on Telegram.
"I thank Kuwait for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, voting on key Ukrainian resolutions at the UN and timely assistance with power generators on the eve of winter," he said.
The leaders discussed countering missile terror, which was renewed by Russia during the New Year holidays, and considered prospects for cooperation in the energy and agricultural sectors.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is actively working to restore a just peace, ensure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, and guarantee global food stability.
He also suggested Kuwait to send a representative to the next meeting of advisors in Davos and to participate in the preparation of the upcoming Global Peace Summit.
