Zaluzhnyi on the mobilization of 450-500 thousand people: Military command did not request any figures

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, commented on the statement about the need to mobilize an additional 450,000-500,000 people during the telethon. He said that the military command had not requested the mobilization of a certain number of people.

"The military command did not make any request for any numbers and so on. The military command continues to fulfill the functions of protecting the state, accordingly forms its requests. Requests for ammunition and human resources," Zaluzhnyi said.

According to him, this is done "on a permanent basis, and we do not make requests to the Cabinet of Ministers or the Verkhovna Rada in any particular format," but only within the framework of "the functionality we are endowed with."

At the same time, Zaluzhnyi admitted that the military has figures on the replenishment needed by the Armed Forces.

"This figure takes into account the coverage of the current shortage that has arisen, the formation of new military units, and the forecasting of our losses that we may suffer during the next year. I cannot disclose this figure and which figure refers to a particular section of these indicators, it is a military secret," the chief said.
