Kyivstar has announced that as compensation for communication problems during the large-scale failure, it will provide existing subscribers with free use of the services they subscribe to for a month and allocate UAH 100 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"We have seen many proposals on social media to redirect customers' personal compensation to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We decided not to choose between compensation and donation. Therefore, in addition to canceling the tariff fee, Kyivstar allocates UAH 100 million for the needs of the Armed Forces," the release quotes the company's president Oleksandr Komarov as saying.
It is specified that prepaid, contract and contract subscribers with the "Home Internet" service will not be charged for the planned service package from December 22 to January 21, while all other subscribers will be provided with free services from January 1 to January 31.
The statement says that for corporate customers this will be in the form of a 100% discount on the tariff fee for mobile, fixed-line Internet, data and telephony services from January 1 to January 31.
