The hacker attack that took place on December 12 destroyed about 40% of Kyivstar's infrastructure. This was announced by the company's president, Oleksandr Komarov, NV reports.
According to him, when the operator lost control of its network, the hackers "did quite a lot of bad things".
"The biggest blow was to the virtual network layer. A lot of servers were destroyed, a lot of data was erased. The customer database was completely erased. These are not customer profiles, they are internal profiles that help the system," Komarov said.
According to his assessment, the hackers had certain goals, the first of which was to destroy the infrastructure as much as possible and "wreak havoc."
