Scholz tells when the second Patriot system handed over to Ukraine will be put into operation

The second Patriot air defense system transferred to Ukraine from Germany will be deployed and put into operation by the end of this year. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the Aussiedlerbote.

The German Chancellor noted during a speech in the Bundestag that Ukraine's ability to defend itself against numerous Russian air attacks using drones and missiles has improved.

Scholz also said that Ukraine will also receive armored vehicles, ammunition and winter protective clothing for the Defense Forces, as well as power generators to overcome the electricity shortage.

"All of this is absolutely necessary. Because Russia has now completely put its economy at the service of this war. The production of Russian weapons is in full swing," he emphasized.

The German Chancellor also warned of the consequences of reduced support by partner countries for Ukraine, which continues to repel Russia's large-scale military aggression.

"Putin is still determined to bring Ukraine to its knees militarily," he said, adding that the Russian president is counting on weakening international support for Ukraine.
