Kyivstar has denied Russian hackers' claim that thousands of computers and servers of the mobile operator were destroyed. The situation was commented on by the company's representative Iryna Lelychenko, Liga.net reports.
She stated that the personal data of subscribers was not compromised and is safe, and the systems in which it is stored were not affected by the hacker attack.
"What we see in the screenshots from Telegram channels is some randomly collected technological data that does not relate to the personal data of our subscribers. Kyivstar declares with full responsibility that the personal data of its subscribers is safe. The information of hostile Telegram channels about the alleged destruction of Kyivstar's computers and servers is also untrue," Lelychenko explained.
Earlier, we reported that Russian hackers from the Solntsepek group claimed responsibility for the cyberattack on Kyivstar mobile operator.
