Today, December 12, Ukraine celebrates Ground Forces Day. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated the military on their professional holiday.
He announced the number of the Ground Forces of Ukraine - almost 600 thousand soldiers of various branches.
"Many of them have received state awards. Many will always be remembered by their comrades for their strength and help in combat. Our people are grateful to many of them for the liberation of our land, cities and villages, for the opportunity to be proud of the power of the Ukrainian army. We remember many of them today when we honor Ukrainian heroes who gave their lives for the sake of our country and people.
Glory to our defenders! I thank every soldier, every sergeant, every commander for the power you give to our state," Zelensky congratulated the Ground Forces.
