The NABU and the SAP served another MP with a notice of suspicion. He was caught bribing a minister. This was reported by the press services of the NABU and the SAP.
It is noted that this time it is Serhiy Labazyuk, a representative of the "For the Future" group.
According to law enforcement, the MP attempted to bribe a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Reconstruction to obtain a billion-hryvnia contract for infrastructure restoration.
In exchange for this order, the defendant promised to pay a "reward" of 3-5% of the value of each contract. Negotiating the terms of the deal also included the involvement of the company's director.
After successfully obtaining UAH 50 million for a contract to rebuild a destroyed bridge in one of Ukraine's regions, the MP transferred the promised amount of $150,000 through an intermediary to a high-ranking official of the State Agency for Reconstruction.
The bribe was handed over in the parking lot of a Kyiv supermarket, and the money was provided in a Chinese box. The actions of the participants in the events are classified as a crime under Article 369, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation continues.
