The Russian army continues its offensive near Avdiivka: Analogy with the events in Bakhmut

The Russian army has advanced to the railway line in the north of Avdiivka, the capture of which could complicate the supply of the Ukrainian group and civilians in the city, Bild reports.

The Russian Federation is also gradually seizing the village of Stepove (Petrivske) to the west of the railway line.

The Russians suffer huge losses, but are gradually advancing. The publication compares this offensive to the battle for Bakhmut, where Russia lost up to 20,000 people but still captured the completely destroyed city.

Near Avdiivka, the publication estimates Russian losses at 3,000 people. The Russians are advancing through minefields and under counter fire.

The day before, the military reported to Zelensky that the Russian army had intensified its offensive near Avdiivka.

The President says that the Russian army is losing equipment and people there faster than before near Bakhmut.
