Russia's FSB said that after the attempt, former MP Oleg Tsarev is in a satisfactory condition, and the agency also reported the detention of the "coordinator" of the attempted assassination, according to Russian media.
The FSB reported that the Russians have taken security measures against Tsarev's family, and his health condition is satisfactory.
Russian special services also said that they had detained the so-called "coordinator" of the assassination attempt, who, according to the FSB, is a resident of Yalta and a Russian citizen.
The Russians claim that he organized the surveillance of Tsarev. According to the FSB, he was found in possession of homemade explosives, means of communication with the SBU and schemes describing approaches to Tsarev's places of residence and work.
The FSB released a video of the alleged detention and interrogation of the "coordinator". In the video, the man stated that he had found a job at the Kirov sanatorium where Tsarev lived. The "coordinator" followed the ex-deputy's movements and passed this information to the SBU.
Earlier we reported that ex-People's Deputy Oleg Tsarev was attacked.
