Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Tsarev was attacked. This was stated by the "member of the regional administration" of Zaporizhzhia Volodymyr Rogov.
"Oleg's condition is very serious. He is currently in intensive care. There was no massacre. Oleg was shot," the statement reads.
Russian media published a video from the scene of an alleged assassination attempt on the former Ukrainian MP who defected to Russia. It took place near his house in Yalta.
Oleg Tsarev is a member of the "Party of Regions" of the IV-VII convocations. In 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) served Oleg Tsarev with a notice of suspicion of high treason. He cooperated with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense after the start of the full-scale invasion.

Relatives of Oleg Tsarev confirm the attempted assassination of the former Ukrainian MP in Crimea, according to his Telegram page.
"Around midnight on the territory of the sanatorium where he lives, he was shot twice. There is no information about the criminal, security forces are working. When the ambulance arrived, Oleg was unconscious and suffering from heavy blood loss. There is no information about his health condition at the moment," the statement said.
Russian telegram channels write that the attacker escaped and is now being searched for by security forces.
