Germany hands over additional IRIS-T and four armored personnel carriers to Ukraine

Germany has provided Ukraine with a new military aid package. It includes one more IRIS-T launcher, four armored personnel carriers and other weapons. This was reported by the German government. 


As part of the new aid package, Germany has provided Ukraine with not only military equipment, but also drones, shells and ammunition.


The new package includes

  • IRIS-T SLM long-range air defense missile system;
  • missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system; 
  • TRML-4D radar;
  • four armored personnel carriers (name not disclosed);
  • four HX81 tank tractors;
  • four tank trailers;
  • six border guard vehicles;
  • eight Vector unmanned aerial vehicles;
  • five surface unmanned aerial vehicles;
  • four GO 12 counter-battery radars;
  • M26 cluster munitions for the HIMARS system;
  • ten thousand protective goggles.

The German government noted that this year Ukraine has received military aid from Germany totaling 5.4 billion euros, which emphasizes Germany's continued support for Ukraine's defense.
