President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the level of support from allies in the context of the conflict in the Middle East and expressed concern about a possible reduction in aid in the event of an escalation of global crises. He said this at a briefing with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo.
As Volodymyr Zelensky noted, the situation in the Middle East is certainly dangerous for Ukraine. Allies have a limited amount of military aid they can provide. Therefore, there is concern about limiting aid in the event of even more terrible tragedies in the world.
"Of course, everyone is afraid. Russia, in fact, is counting on this distribution of this aid, and not only Russia, I am convinced. I am honest with you, as well as with our partners. My question was whether your support would be less than it is now. Even now, in times of challenge, when the US elections are coming, our partners have said no," the President added.
Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Ukraine counts on direct and powerful relations with the United States, as well as friends in the European Union.
