According to Interior Ministry Major Maksym Morozov, a member of the Legion of Freedom, Russian troops are attacking in the Avdiivka direction with a large number of equipment and personnel. According to his statement, this is one of the largest attacks, Radio Liberty reports.
"It is along the entire area - from Pervomaiske to Kamyshove. The Russian military is advancing, all the forces available to the occupation forces are advancing," Morozov said.
The military said that the purpose of such actions of the Russian army is to implement a long-standing plan to surround Avdiivka, which failed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
"The main goal was to get the best lines, to advance as far as possible and, of course, at the final stage, to cut the roads leading to Avdiivka and take (the city) in a complete circle," he emphasized.
Morozov emphasized that at the moment "we can say that this plan is not working out for them yet," and this "thanks to the titanic work of our resistance forces, it will not work out."
As we reported earlier, on Tuesday, October 10, the Russian army launched a massive artillery and tank attack on Avdiivka, Donetsk region.
