Representatives of Israel and Palestine invited to emergency EU meeting

Representatives of Jerusalem and Palestine have been invited to an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers to discuss Hamas' attack on Israel. This was announced by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

I have invited Israeli Foreign Minister @elicoh1 to join the meeting of EU Foreign Ministers I am convening this afternoon.
I have also invited Foreign Minister Malki @pmofa to address the meeting and present the views of the Palestinian Authority.

"I have invited Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen to join the meeting of EU foreign ministers I am convening this afternoon," he wrote.


Borrell also invited Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki to address the meeting and present the position of the Palestinian Authority.
