Ukrainian diplomats rescued wounded boy in Israel, - Foreign Ministry spokesman Nikolenko

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko said that Ukrainian diplomats had conducted a successful rescue operation and brought a Ukrainian boy out of the Israeli city of Sderot. On his Facebook page, he said that he was injured during a militant attack.


"Now he is in a safe place under the care of the embassy. He has been provided with medical and psychological assistance," noted Nikolenko.


The Ukrainian side managed to find five citizens who were considered missing. There was also information about the possible deaths of two other Ukrainians in Israel and one in the Gaza Strip, which is being checked.


"In total, over the past day, the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine processed more than 200 appeals from citizens. We are recording massive flight cancelations. We are looking for solutions to help our people leave the country," said Nikolenko. - "The diplomatic mission in Ramallah is in constant contact with the Ukrainian community. We are working on potential evacuation routes."
