Italy has expressed its intention to provide Ukraine with the eighth military aid package. The country is currently considering what equipment can be transferred to Kyiv. This was announced by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crozetto in the publication Avvenire.it.
"The Italian government supports Ukraine as long as necessary, that is, until a just peace is achieved. This was confirmed by Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, who had a cordial meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Granada," the article says.
The publication clarifies that there are disagreements in the Italian government between Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Defense Minister Crozetto over the decision to transfer a new aid package to Ukraine.
