Russia launched a combined drone and ballistic missile attack on Kyiv overnight on September 30, leaving two people dead and four others injured and damaging dozens of homes across the Ukrainian capital.
According to the latest reports, fires and damage were recorded in four districts of Kyiv as a result of the Russian strikes between the evening of September 29 and the early hours of September 30.
Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia used Zircon/Oniks anti-ship missiles launched from the Kursk region, as well as Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles fired from Russia’s Voronezh and Bryansk regions.
Russian forces also launched 188 Shahed-type attack drones, including 86 jet-powered UAVs, as well as Gerbera and Parodiya drones.
Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed or suppressed 160 aerial targets during the attack.
According to the Air Force, these included five Iskander-M/S-400/Zircon/Oniks missiles and 155 Shahed, Gerbera and other types of Russian drones.
