President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is open to the possibility of holding elections during the period of martial law, provided that changes are made to the legislation and security for voters is guaranteed. The Head of State said this during an interview with Sky TG24.
"The situation is difficult, but elections in Ukraine can take place if the parliament manages to solve all the problems of ensuring access to voting," Zelensky said.
The President emphasized the importance of organizing safe elections for citizens so that they are not attacked during the period of full-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation.
"We have this task, but if our country manages to amend the laws, elections will be held in Ukraine," the head of state emphasized.
