Ukraine and the United States have agreed on the joint production of modern weapons, including air defense systems. This was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his video message.
"And a long-term agreement - we will work together to ensure that Ukraine produces the necessary weapons together with America. This is a new level of our unity. Co-production in the defense industry with the United States is a historic thing," the President of Ukraine said.
Zelenskyy also noted that such cooperation would create a new industrial base and jobs. He emphasized that Ukraine would be able to produce various weapons, including air defense systems.
"We are preparing to create a new defense ecosystem together with the United States to produce weapons to further strengthen freedom and protect life together. This will have global positive results," the Head of State added.
