Slovakia has joined Poland in reacting negatively to Ukraine's lawsuit claim to the World Trade Organization (WTO). The statement was made by Slovak Agriculture Minister Josef Bires, local media reported.
According to the minister, Ukraine's allegations "have no legal basis" and Slovakia is not going to lift its restrictions on agricultural imports.
"I was surprised. Of course, the complaint has no legal basis, and it is obvious that there can be no arguments in favor of uncontrolled food imports to the member state," the politician said.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine has already filed lawsuits against Poland, Slovakia and Hungary within the World Trade Organization over the grain import ban.
