The GUR claims that Ukraine has regained control of the gas rigs off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea, known as the Boyko towers.
It is reported that "during one of the phases of this operation, a battle took place between Ukrainian special forces on boats and a Russian Su-30 fighter jet".
It is stated that as a result of the battle, the Russian aircraft was defeated and forced to retreat.
Military intelligence says it has managed to regain control of the Petro Godovalets, Ukraine, Tavrida, and Syvash drilling platforms, as well as seize a stockpile of Russian unguided aircraft missiles and the Neva radar station, which can track the movement of ships in the Black Sea.
These towers were seized by Russia in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea. And during the invasion of Ukraine, they were used for military purposes. In particular, they were used as helicopter landing sites and for deploying radar equipment.
