The first 10 Leopard 1 tanks from the batch of military aid provided by Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands have already been delivered to Ukraine, and the rest are expected to arrive. This was reported by the Danish Armed Forces, AFP reports.
These tanks were announced for delivery to Ukraine in February 2023, and the first batch of 10 Leopard 1 tanks is already on Ukrainian territory.
General Arpe Nielsen, Commander of the Danish Army, noted that the delivery of these tanks and the training of Ukrainian tankers in Denmark will be a significant contribution to the Ukrainian defense forces and will help them "win the defense battle."
As a reminder, the first batch of Leopard 1A5 tanks was delivered to Ukraine by Germany in July 2023.
