Students in Ukraine can receive an offer of free education in exchange for voluntary service

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered draft amendments to Article 23 of the Law "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization" to encourage students to voluntarily mobilize. This is reported in draft law 9672-1, submitted by Heorhiy Mazurashu (Servant of the People faction).

The draft law proposes that applicants for professional (vocational-technical), professional higher and higher education, trainee assistants, graduate students and doctoral students studying full-time or dual forms of education "may voluntarily agree to be called up for military service during mobilization, in which case the state provides them with the appropriate education without paying these citizens."
