The number of people injured in Sumy as a result of a Russian missile strike has increased to three. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the Sumy regional police.
According to preliminary reports, three people were wounded in the shelling. In addition, more than 20 houses and 8 cars were damaged. Rescuers were able to pull an elderly couple out of the rubble, and fortunately there were no casualties.
Police, rescuers and medics are currently working at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
A criminal investigation was launched in connection with this incident under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on violation of the laws and customs of war.
Earlier we reported that as a result of the night shelling of the city of Sumy, which occurred on the night of September 8, two people were injured and rescued from the rubble of a destroyed two-storey building. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
